Who we are
The Tall Poppy Syndrome Society is a non-profit organisation, a haven where Fallen Poppies can gather, learn, support and rehabilitate. A place where Tall Poppies can learn to re-embrace the path they were destined for – the path of success.
The Tall Poppy Syndrome Society understands that helping to ‘re-plant’ a fallen poppy in the fertile soil of life is important. But if we really want to eliminate TPS from Australian society altogether, we need to assist people on both sides of the scissors. That is why the TPSS actively seeks out and re-educates Poppy-Cutters, the misguided and the jealous, whose vindictive backstabbing is the real cause of the syndrome’s destructive force.
Dr. Eliza Grayham started The Tall Poppy Syndrome Society as a place for the hundreds of reality-TV “celebrities” to re-integrate into normal society. It quickly gathered a name amongst Australian acting and performing talents as a rehab centre for severe medical conditions such as Public Backlash. Dr. Eliza Grayham’s extensive field experience at the Centre For Uniquely Australian Conditions (CUAC) has seen her present at the discovery of the gene responsible for Monday-Itis, as well as working on the team that began breakthrough physiotherapy for Hip-Pocket Strain. Rapidly, Dr Grayham realised that Tall Poppy Syndrome affected not only high (and low) profile celebrities, but also successful people in the corporate world and elsewhere. Thus, the TPSS opened its door to all Australians, and a Tasmanian, in order to forever eliminate the sprawling weed that is Tall Poppy Syndrome from our shores.
